4th of July Celebrations: Calabash, NC

Calabash, North Carolina, is in a prime location if looking for a place to watch fireworks! When it comes to celebrating it’s hard to top the communities along the Carolina coast. Here are a few suggestions of how you can ring in the 4th of July this year:

  1. Calabash Waterfront: The Calabash Waterfront area is a popular spot for watching fireworks displays. Many local communities and organizations organize fireworks shows along the waterfront, providing a great vantage point to enjoy the spectacle.
  2. Ocean Isle Beach: Located just a short drive from Calabash, Ocean Isle Beach hosts an annual Independence Day fireworks display. You can head to the beach and find a comfortable spot to watch the fireworks light up the sky over the ocean.
  3. Sunset Beach: Another nearby beach that offers fireworks on the 4th of July is Sunset Beach. Bring your beach chairs and blankets and find a prime spot on the sand to watch the fireworks show. Or, if you are a member of our Kingfish Bay Community, take advantage of our Beachfront Clubhouse.
  4. Southport: Southport, North Carolina, is a charming coastal town known for its 4th of July festivities. It hosts an annual festival called the “North Carolina 4th of July Festival” featuring a parade, live music, food vendors, and, of course, a spectacular fireworks display. Southport’s waterfront area provides an excellent vantage point to enjoy the fireworks show.
  5. Intracoastal Waterway: Find a spot along the Intracoastal Waterway in Calabash or nearby areas where you can have a clear view of the water. Several private boats and charter companies organize fireworks cruises, providing a unique experience to watch the fireworks from the water.
  6. Local Events: Keep an eye on local event listings and community announcements leading up to the 4th of July weekend. Flyers may be pinned up in town at local restaurants, or follow along on social pages. With so many options to choose from, it’s hard to decide.

    Tamara the director of design and selections was great to work with in the design phase providing choices and advice. We were impressed with the way they all turned out. She designed one of our favorites which is a wine bar.
    The KFB construction team led by Ty and Jesse were always available for questions. They also worked closely with us to identify areas of concern which were few as well as resolved our punch list. The communication was open and collaborative.

  • Today I viewed the house and the kitchen tile backsplash looks fantastic.
    I have to say, there is nothing I would change throughout the house, every room is beautiful and the floors are truly wonderful.

  • I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of your help, support and work with guiding me through the purchase process at Kingfish Bay. I’ve been looking in the Kingfish Bay development for a few years now. I met with Jim White in April and as you know, met you there when I looked again in September. Finally I impulsively walked into your office again in October and you and your team has made the purchasing and selection process seamless. For someone like myself who is very careful in making big purchases you and your co-workers have taken the stress (as much as possible) out of this process. Kingfish Bay is exactly what I was looking for. The homes and feature selections are all beautiful. I love the amenities that the community offers! I’m excited at getting to call Kingfish Bay my home!
