Located just across the South Carolina border from Calabash, North Myrtle Beach features a wealth of fun activities and venues. The downtown district at the junction of Ocean Drive and Main Street is known as the Horseshoe and hosts music festivals, parades and other cultural events near the beach. The new North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex offers hiking, biking, ropes courses and water skiing.
Shopping, Dining, and a Show!
The most popular spot in North Myrtle Beach is Barefoot Landing, a multi-use complex that offers great shops, restaurants and theaters, like the Alabama Theatre and the House of Blues. The shops are located along a wooden boardwalk on Barefoot Lake, and a new restaurant district is being developed on the Intracoastal Waterway. Other shopping venues include the Coastal North Town Center, Myrtle Beach Mall and the Tanger Outlets.
The Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach is the birth place of the Carolina Shag, the state dance that grew out of the sounds of beach music and the crashing waves. The 1950s and ’60s dance craze saw teenagers flock to the beach, and many of those same “kids” still come to take a stroll down memory lane at SOS (Society of Shaggers) events. Dance clubs like the OD Pavilion, Fat Harold’s and the Spanish Galleon are still shagging after all these years.
Today I viewed the house and the kitchen tile backsplash looks fantastic.
I have to say, there is nothing I would change throughout the house, every room is beautiful and the floors are truly wonderful.
Thank you Haley and Sharon for scheduling access today and letting me roam the house in complete happiness.
Thank you Tamara for your timely and reassuring input regarding the backsplash.
On a broader note, thank you to each of you for your help, feedback, guidance, patience, teamwork and great attitudes during this process. You have all been amazing people to work with.
Not long now, Did I say….I AM SO HAPPY 😀

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of your help, support and work with guiding me through the purchase process at Kingfish Bay. I’ve been looking in the Kingfish Bay development for a few years now. I met with Jim White in April and as you know, met you there when I looked again in September. Finally I impulsively walked into your office again in October and you and your team has made the purchasing and selection process seamless. For someone like myself who is very careful in making big purchases you and your co-workers have taken the stress (as much as possible) out of this process. Kingfish Bay is exactly what I was looking for. The homes and feature selections are all beautiful. I love the amenities that the community offers! I’m excited at getting to call Kingfish Bay my home!
We love it here and KBD has… been spectacular with resolving any questions…
